KC engineering firm expects to hire 600 this year

On the heels of breaking the $2 billion sales mark last year, Kansas City-based Burns & McDonnell Engineering Co. Inc. expects to add 600 jobs this year, half of them in the Kansas City area.

The Kansas City Star reports the firm now employs 4,300 people and recorded sales of $2.3 billion in 2013, up 15 percent from 2012.

“Demand for our services is running high, and we are happy to continue building our talented team,” company Chairman and CEO Greg Graves said.
