The leaders of Kansas City’s effort to host the 2026 World Cup are slated to present to FIFA this week.
The effort, dubbed KC 2026, is proposing Arrowhead Stadium as one of the 15 North American sites that would host the championship soccer games in 2026. It's facing 23 other cities in the bidding process, which this week involves laying out field specs, site plans and related topics.
FIFA plans to start visiting potential sites in July. An announcement of the winning cities is expected in the fourth quarter.
