The Kansas City Council approved up to $185 million in public financing for the expansion of the CPKC Stadium.
The city may back up to $185 million in debt issued by a third party or obtained by the developer, according to KMBC.
The $1.4 billion stadium plan would expand CPKC Stadium to 18,000 seats and add a mixed-use district around it.
