The Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, Civic Council and United Way have pledged support for Medicaid expansion in Missouri.
The groups indicated Medicaid expansion would provide health coverage for more than 230,000 Missourians working in jobs that don't provide health insurance.
Expansion would bring in more than $1 billion in federal tax money to Missouri every year to pay for the program.
