The Kansas City Council voted to fire City Manager Brian Platt.
The decision comes three weeks after Platt was suspended with pay amid a nearly $1 million whistleblower lawsuit the city lost. Mayor Quinton Lucas also questioned Platt’s leadership abilities.
Platt is reportedly being represented by an employment discrimination law firm.
