Kansas City-area gastroenterologist Dr. Farid Namin is close to opening a personal protective equipment manufacturing plant.
The 16,000-square-foot plant in Riverside is slated to wrap up this week. It will have the capacity to produce up to 20 million N95 masks, nearly 50 million surgical masks and about 20 million head and shoe covers, according to the Kansas City Business Journal.
PPE Mfg USA Corp. was co-founded by Namin, who has been a gastroenterologist at Jackson County Gastroenterology PC for 15 years.
