Overland Park, Kansas-based Compass Minerals International Inc. is set to pay $12 million to settle Securities and Exchange Commission charges.
The SEC has alleged the company violated antifraud, reporting and internal controls provisions of the Securities Act and the Exchange Act.
Without admitting wrongdoing, Compass also agreed to cease and desist from violations of the acts.
