KC agency Barkley signs national client: Applebee’s

Kansas City-based advertising agency Barkley just landed a national restaurant brand as a client: Applebee’s.

The fast-casual restaurant chain named Barkley as its agency of record, effective March 1. Over the years, Barkley has worked with clients including Dairy Queen, Hershey Co. and Wingstop.

The deal comes during a transition period for Applebee's, which is moving its headquarters to Glendale, Calif. – the hometown of its parent company, DineEquity Inc. – from Kansas City.
