The parent company of Kay, Zales and other jewelry businesses plans to shutter nearly 400 stores permanently.
Signet officials said 150 stores in the United States and Canada and 80 in the United Kingdom will not reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic forced their temporary closures. Another 150 stores will be shut down.
A company spokesperson declined to say where the first stores are closing.
