Kay Jewelers owner hit with discrimination allegations

The company that owns Kay Jewelers and Jared the Galleria of Jewelry has been accused of allowing a culture of sexual harassment and discrimination against its female employees.

Sterling Jewelers has faced an arbitration battle for nearly a decade. Hundreds of documents of the case were made public Sunday.

A class action suit, the case encompasses 69,000 current and former Sterling employees. They allege women at the company were accosted, pressured into sex for advancement or protection, and routinely paid less than men.
