Kansas' software industry is growing faster than that of Missouri and other surrounding states, according to international research organization Software.org.
Since 2014, the industry in Kansas has climbed by 37.5 percent to account for 22,493 direct jobs within the state.
Comparatively, Missouri's software industry grew 7.9 percent since 2014, Colorado's moved up 12.3 percent, Oklahoma, 11.8 percent, and Nebraska, 13.5 percent.
