Kansas lawmakers agree to expand Medicaid

While Republicans in Congress attempt to dismantle the Affordable Care Act, lawmakers in Kansas have given approval to one of its chief provisions: expanding Medicaid.

On Tuesday, the Kansas Senate gave the green light to Medicaid expansion following approval in the House earlier this year.

Gov. Sam Brownback is not expected to sign the bill into law.
