Overland Park, Kansas-based Compass Minerals International penned a nonbinding agreement with Ford Motor Co.
Through the deal, Compass has agreed to supply Ford with lithium for electric-vehicle batteries.
Compass has an Ogden, Utah, plant where it will source the lithium for the arrangement with Ford.
