Kansas City Life Insurance Co. agreed to buy out Grange Life Insurance Co. for $77.2 million.
The seller is Grange Mutual Casualty Co. The deal is expected to close in the third quarter.
"Life insurance is our lifeblood and we have a strategic vision in place," Kansas City Life CEO Philip Bixby said in a news release. "This acquisition allows us to continue to grow to scale and to do what we do best."
