Kansas City International Airport enjoys yearlong ascent

Passenger traffic at Kansas City International Airport has been on a steady climb for 12 straight months.

The Kansas City Aviation Department announced Friday the airport saw over 10.2 million total passengers between May 2014 and April of this year.

According to the Kansas City Business Journal, that's a 3.5 percent increase from the roughly 9.3 million passengers reported in the same period a year earlier.
