U.S. Senate candidate Jason Kander, D-Mo., has written a $25,000 check to the U.S. Treasury to rid himself of a questionable donation.

Hayden said Kander, who's in a tight race with incumbent Republican Roy Blunt, became aware of the situation Sunday.
