Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign raised $1.5 million in the first 24 hours after it was announced Monday.
The total for Harris, currently a Democratic senator from California, tied Bernie Sanders’ one-day total from his 2016 presidential campaign.
The average online contribution to Harris’ campaign was $37 during the first day of fundraising, according to Politico.
