Justice Department sues Yale over admissions practices

The Justice Department filed suit yesterday against Yale University over its admissions practices.

The lawsuit alleges violations of the federal civil-rights law by discriminating against Asian American and white applicants in the undergraduate admission process.

The investigation began in 2018 after a 2016 complaint was filed by the Asian American Coalition for Education and other groups.
