The Justice Department announced it has reached a settlement with real estate software company RealPage.
The settlement follows an antitrust lawsuit that alleged RealPage colluded with landlords to raise rents.
“Competing companies must make independent pricing decisions, and with the rise of algorithmic and artificial intelligence tools, we will remain at the forefront of vigorous antitrust enforcement,” said Gail Slater, who leads the antitrust division at the Justice Department, in a news release.
