Justice Department dropping Michael Flynn case

The Justice Department abruptly announced it's dropping prosecution against Michael Flynn, President Donald Trump's first national security adviser.

Prosecutors during the last three years have maintained Flynn lied to the FBI in a January 2017 interview about his conversations with the Russian ambassador.

Flynn, who pleaded guilty before later asking to withdraw the plea, has been a central figure in the FBI’s Trump-Russia investigation.
