A jury awarded $289 million to a man who claims Monsanto's Roundup left him dying of cancer.
Dewayne Johnson, a 46-year-old former school groundskeeper, said, "I'm glad to be here to be able to help in a cause that's way bigger than me."
Monsanto spokesman Scott Partridge said the company plans to appeal the decision.
