'Jurassic World' rampages to global box office record

"Jurassic World" brought in an stimated $511.8 million around the world this weekend, making it the highest-grossing global opening ever.

It takes the crown from "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2," which in 2011 made $483.2 million worldwide, according to CNNMoney.

In the U.S., "Jurassic World" made an estimated $204.5 million over the weekend, which would place it only behind the $207.4 million U.S. total of "The Avengers" in 2012.
