Judges select fifth-annual Business Class honorees

An independent panel of judges has chosen the fifth-annual group of 10 companies for Business Class, an award presented by UMB Bank, BKD LLP, Lathrop & Gage LLP and media sponsor Springfield Business Journal.

Business Class is designed to honor companies for achievement in financial performance, innovation and community involvement. Participating companies must have been in business three years, operate their headquarters within SBJ’s 50-mile coverage area and report at least $5 million in gross annual revenue.

The 10 companies chosen based on scored applications, in alphabetical order, are American National, CoxHealth, Everything Kitchens LLC, Grooms Office Environments, Jared Enterprises Inc., KPM CPAs PC, MaMa Jean’s Natural Foods Market LLC, S & H Farm Supply Inc., Penmac Personnel Services Inc. and Phoenix Home Care Inc.

Executives from the top five companies – announced during a June 17 luncheon – are invited to a three-day leadership retreat in California wine country with the event sponsors.

Tickets to the awards program, which begins at 11:30 a.m. at Highland Springs Country Club, 5400 S. Highland Springs Blvd., are available for $40 apiece at SBJ.net/BusinessClass.
