Judges select 2007 Most Influential Women

Joplin Tri-State Business presents its 2007 class of Most Influential Women.

This year’s honorees, in alphabetical order, are: Paula Baker, Ozark Center; Doris Carlin, Keller Williams Realty; Michelle Ducre, Community Clinic of Joplin; Kathleen Flannery, Pittsburg State University; Nancy Good, The Title Place; Crystal Harrington, Home Builders Association of Southwest Missouri; Debbie Linnes, St. John’s Regional Medical Center;

Cynthia Schwab, Pro Musica; Kim Vann, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce; and Glenna Wallace, Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.

An independent panel of judges selected these individuals from 46 applicants. More than 135 women were nominated for the honor. The judging panel included Mark Williams, Ozark Christian College; Kim Lester, Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce; and Gina Atteberry, Spencer, Scott & Dwyer.

The influential women will be honored during an Oct. 19 luncheon at Joplin’s Holiday Inn, as well as in a special section in the Oct. 22 issue of Joplin Tri-State Business. Copies of the issue will be distributed at the luncheon. Nancy Hutson, co-owner of Cycle Connection Harley-Davidson/Buell and the founder of Shining Star Ministries, will be the keynote speaker of the event.
