Judge rules against J.C. Penney in Martha Stewart case

J.C. Penney "interfered" with a deal between its rival Macy's and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, a judge ruled Monday.

Macy's sued J.C. Penney in 2012 over a partnership that Penney and Martha Stewart announced the preceding December.

It accused Penney of breaching its own contract with Martha Stewart Living, which included exclusive rights to sell cookware, bedding and bath products from the company named for the homemaking doyenne, according to Reuters.
