Judge rejects Uber's settlement offer with drivers

A federal judge ruled yesterday Uber's proposed settlement with drivers in California and Massachusetts was inadequate.

U.S. District Judge Edward Chen in San Francisco said the $100 million offer was too low.

Under the settlement, drivers would have continued to be classified as independent contractors. However, they would have received a portion of the settlement based on how many miles they drove.
