Judge rejects Monsanto appeal in weedkiller verdict

A California judge rejected Monsanto's appeal to overturn a case in which a jury found the company's Roundup weedkiller causes cancer.

Dewayne Johnson won a $298 million award during the summer after alleging Roundup gave him cancer when he was working as a school groundskeeper.

Judge Suzanne Bolanos did, however, reduce the punitive damages in the case to $39 million from $250 million.
