A lawsuit against the state of Missouri that took issue with stadium incentives for the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals has been dismissed.
Legislation included the Show-Me Sports Investment Act, which would have allowed up to 50% of stadium construction bond costs to be reimbursed via tax money generated at the facilities. The plaintiffs in the lawsuit, including state Sen. Mike Moon, R-Ash Grove, called the provision unconstitutional.
Court documents indicated the lawsuit was dismissed due to the plaintiffs' lack of standing.
