U.S. District Judge Randolph Moss issued an order that permanently blocks the Trump administration from ending federal funding for National Public Radio and the Public Broadcasting Service.
Moss cited the First Amendment and noted the right to free speech “does not tolerate viewpoint discrimination and retaliation of this type.”
According to The Associated Press, it's unclear how the order will play out because it's likely to be appealed and public broadcasting has already been severely damaged by funding cuts.
