A federal judge blocked President Donald Trump's asylum ban - at least temporarily.
U.S. District Court Judge Jon Tigar ruled Trump "may not rewrite the immigration laws to impose a condition that Congress has expressly forbidden." The Trump administration has sought to block migrants who illegally cross the Mexican border into the United States from seeking asylum.
Tigar's order is effective through Dec. 19. Arguments for a permanent order will be held after that point.
