A federal judge has blocked JetBlue Airways' proposed $3.8 billion acquisition of Spirit Airlines.
U.S. District Judge William Young said in his decision that the federal government has proven the merger “would substantially lessen competition."
JetBlue and Spirit are considering an appeal.
