Project description: An outdoor pavilion with a plaza joins a concessions building, a new parking lot and expanded infrastructure to support community events at J.R. Martin Park in Republic. The additions expand and support the public gathering area for an existing amphitheater completed in 2014 by Nesbitt Construction with Sapp Design Associates Architects Inc., also the architect for this project. Project officials say the new parking lot is designed with food truck parking, including hookups, and it will also be used to improve queuing for the neighboring Price Elementary and Republic Early Childhood Center. The landscape architect is SWT Design Inc. Engineers are Olsson Inc., civil; RTM Engineering Consultants LLC, structural; and Interpres Building Solutions LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
