JPMorgan Chase announced Tuesday plans to give pay raises to 22,000 U.S. employees in the company's branches and customer service centers.
The move is part of a $20 billion investment in light of the company's expected tax windfall.
Hourly wages will go up to between $15 and $18 from a range of $12 and $16.50.
The $20 billion investment plans also call on the opening of 400 new branches and the hiring of 4,000 more employees.
