JPMorgan Chase tops analysts' expectations

JPMorgan Chase's third-quarter earnings and revenue were better than analysts predicted.

Earnings per share increased 33 percent to $2.34, above forecasts of $2.25.

Revenue was up 5 percent to $27.8 billion, narrowly beating analysts' forecasts of $27.5 billion.
