JPMorgan Chase to pay $2B for role in Madoff case

JPMorgan Chase will pay $2 billion in civil and criminal settlements later this week for its role in the Madoff fraud case.

The settlement comes after the company was accused of ignoring signs of Bernie Madoff's criminal activity. The bank was Madoff's primary bank for more than two decades, according to USA Today.

During the past 12 months, JPMorgan has paid out $20 billion to settle government investigations.
