JPMorgan buying $137M Dublin office for 1,000 staff

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is buying an office building under construction in Dublin for $137 million, a person familiar with the matter told Bloomberg.

The bank’s Irish unit plans to house 1,000 workers at the building when it's completed in third-quarter 2018.

“Given the momentum of our local businesses, this new building gives us room to grow and some flexibility within the European Union,” said Carin Bryans, senior country officer for JPMorgan in Ireland. “Dublin has the vibrant business and technology communities that suit a global firm like ours.”
