A Springfield native working as a journalist in Kansas City was killed by a stray bullet inside her apartment complex last week.
Aviva Okeson-Haberman, 24, graduated from Central High School.
Okeson-Haberman worked at public radio station KCUR. She soon was slated to start covering social issues and criminal justice for the Kansas News Service after previously reporting on Missouri government for the radio station.
