The Branson Board of Aldermen yesterday awarded Springfield-based Leo Journagan Construction Co. Inc. a city infrastructure project for its winning bid of $1.8 million.
Journagan Construction submitted the lowest bid, below the nearly $2 million bid submitted by APAC Missouri, according to the
board agenda.
Under the terms of the contract, Journagan Construction would resurface several highly used Branson roadways, including:
• Green Mountain Drive, west of State Highway 165;
• Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, around Sight & Sound Theatres;
• Branson Landing Boulevard, near Cox Medical Center Branson; and
• the neighborhood streets of Country Bluff Estates.
The city originally budgeted $1.7 million for the project slated to be completed this year. To compensate for higher-than-expected bids, city officials reduced the size of the Shepherd of the Hills project to 76 percent of its original scope, according to the agenda.
