In 2001 Journagan Construction completed three major jobs for MoDOT valued at approximately $24 million. That work, in conjunction with other projects the company did for the state, placed Journagan Construction among the top 10 contractors in the state in terms of volume.
MoDOT awarded Journagan Construction three awards in the heavy volume classification:
No. 1 for contract compliance in the state of Missouri;
No. 1 for quality in the state of Missouri; and
No. 1 for overall performance in the state of Missouri.
This year in March, Journagan also received a national award for outstanding performance from the National Asphalt Pavement Association for quality construction on the Route 65 Christian County project.
The company was a finalist for the Springfield Business Journal Economic Impact Awards for 2001.
In 2001, Hartman Construction received two awards from MoDOT in the medium volume classification:
Contractor performance; and
No. 1 in overall performance.
