Posted online
Work on Phase I of the renovations at Jordan Valley Innovation Center continues, turning the former MFA mill site into a home for companies that perform cutting-edge research in nanotechnology and other sciences. DeWitt & Associates was awarded a $9 million construction contract for the first phase, which comprises renovations with an overall cost of $12 million.

Phase I includes two of the five buildings on the MFA site. The buildings are adjoined, with a total of eight floors. Four floors will be used by Missouri State University’s Center for Applied Science and Engineering. Other tenants include Brewer Science of Rolla, Crosslink of Fenton and Nantero of Massachusetts.

Phase I design work is by Sapp Design Associates Architects PC and Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc.

Planning for the two remaining phases is ongoing; no official timetable has been set for the renovations, which are being paid for by federal funds.
