DeWitt and Associates is the general contractor for the first phase of renovations for the Jordan Valley Innovation Center in downtown Springfield. DeWitt was awarded a $9 million construction contract for Phase I, which comprises two of the five buildings on the former MFA site. Phase I design work is by Sapp Design Associate Architects PC and Butler, Rosenbury & Partners Inc. The two buildings in Phase I are adjoined, with a total of eight floors. Four of the floors are to be used by Missouri State University’s Center for Applied Science and Engineering. Other tenants include Brewer Science of Rolla, Crosslink of Fenton and Nantero of Massachusetts. The renovations are being paid for with federal grant money. Planning is ongoing for the remaining two phases, though no official timetable has been set.
