Jordan Valley expands south-side dental clinic

Jordan Valley Community Health Center is working to complete a two-phase expansion and remodel project of a dental clinic it operates in southwest Springfield.

Jordan Valley Marketing Strategist Kristy Taylor said via email that Phase I of the project at the Kingsley Clinic, 2238 W. Kingsley St., expanded the facility's number of treatment rooms to 17 from four. Phase II work would grow that count to 25, with an estimated completion date in October, Taylor said.

Taylor declined to disclose project costs. Remodel work includes sensory-friendly features for patients.

In a news release, Jordan Valley officials said the expanded clinic increases access to specialized care for children and adults with special dental care needs.

“Our mission is to make high-quality, accessible care a reality for everyone,” said Dr. Matthew Stinson, CEO of Jordan Valley, in the release. “This investment in our Springfield Kingsley location ensures that more families – including those with unique sensory or special health care needs – can get the dental services they deserve in a supportive environment."

Jordan Valley owns the building where the Kingsley Clinic has operated since 2019, Taylor said.

Expanded services at the Kingsley Clinic brought about by the expansion and remodel project started yesterday, according to the release. The clinic's list of services now includes dedicated adult dental care and "comprehensive pediatric dental care from infancy through adolescence," officials say.
