U.S. Sen Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, yesterday announced a $7.5 million grant award for Joplin Regional Airport.
The grant though the Federal Aviation Administration's Airport Improvement Program would allow the regional airport to reconstruct an old taxiway.
"Reconstructing the taxiway will allow Joplin Regional Airport to keep up with increasing travel demand, which is great for local families and businesses," Blunt said in a statement.
