Joplin philanthropist and surgeon Robert Willcoxon has died. He was 85.
With his wife, Dorothy, Willcoxon donated millions of dollars to organizations including Missouri Southern State University, Kansas City University’s Joplin campus and Jasper County Court Appointed Special Advocates, according to the Joplin Globe.
He practiced general and vascular surgery in his medical career.
