The city of Joplin and Missouri Southern State University marked the completion of a long-anticipated trail project.
The half-mile trail initially was announced in 2013. The 10-foot-wide, asphalt-covered trail includes a 90-foot concrete pedestrian bridge.
“It’s been going on for plus-nine years, which is a testament to how well the city and Missouri Southern work together, and we do that very well,” said Rob Yust, MSSU’s vice president for business affairs.
