Physical therapy services at Maude Norton Memorial City Hospital in Columbus, Kan., will now be provided through a cooperative effort of the hospital and Regional Health Services.
Regional Health Services is a partnership between Joplin Physical Therapy Associates Inc. and St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin.
Physical therapy services have been upgraded to a full five-day schedule for Maude Norton's inpatient and outpatient populations, offering more convenient access for Columbus and surrounding area.
Neil Yust, PPT, will be evaluating and working with the local patients. Originally from Seneca, Yust pursued his professional education at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar and graduated with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy in 1994.
Professional and technical support will be provided by Jeff Hendrick, PPT, a 1988 graduate of the University of Tennessee at Memphis.
Together they represent 15 years of professional experience in the rehabilitation field.
Key members of Maude Norton Memorial City Hospital administration and the newly appointed physical therapy professionals will conduct a comprehensive review of hospital, industry and regional needs, with the expectation of meeting the area's specific physical therapy and rehabilitation requirements.
