Joplin council approves $1.1M pay plan

Joplin City Council last night advanced a $1.1 million pay plan for city employees.

The plan is designed to give city employees a 9% across-the-board pay bump, according to the Joplin Globe.

A study found the city's pay scales were roughly 84% of that in regional cities in Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas.
