Joplin considered for customer call center

Posted online
Kansas City-based lock\line is gauging interest from Joplin job-seekers as it decides whether it will build a new customer service center in southwest Missouri.

On Jan. 21, the insurance and warranty program administrator hosted an informational open house at the Missouri Career Center, 730 S. Wall Ave. More than 550 people turned out, and lock\line is responding to the unexpectedly high turnout.

The company will keep its application Web site, www.gtssurveys.com, open longer - now until Wednesday - for interested job-seekers. Applicants must answer a short questionnaire and submit their information.

If lock\line chooses to build a center in Joplin, it would employ between 400 and 500 associates. Positions would include customer service representatives, supervisors, managers, training/quality assurance, human resources and clerical staff.

Lock\line employment offers medical and dental benefits, educational assistance, an employer-matched 401(k), paid holidays and vacation, a work-from-home program and referral bonuses.
