Joplin City Council last night voted to rescind the city's face mask ordinance.
The mandate enacted July 8 was set to expire yesterday, and council members had the choice of rescinding or extending it.
Council also voted to advance the city's coronavirus recovery plan, allowing businesses to operate without capacity restrictions.
