Joplin City Council identifies priorities for city

Joplin City Council yesterday identified a handful of priorities for the city.

Council members said the No. 1 focus should be to renovate aging neighborhoods. They also pointed to economic opportunities and improvements to the community's appearance.

City Manager Nick Edwards said staff may not have the funds or time to work on more than one priority at a time.
